We can’t believe it’s been a year since the last time we visited St Patrick Village for a bonfire party, and when we found out that there was going to be another one this year, we just had to go again. And despite our busy schedules getting prepped for the holidays, we’re so glad that the bonfire party lasted a week and we got the chance to get together and go.
We could hear the live music playing as we entered St Patrick Village, and our spirits were immediately lifted when we saw the bonfire crackling in the center.
This was the epitome of chill, chill lang.on a weeknight.
Just like last year, there was barbecue and other finger foods on standby, but we couldn’t wait to get back to our favorites from Cafe de Angelo.
We just had to order the Chicharon Pasta again (make it two), which is definitely one of our favorite pastas around Baguio.
We also got a plate of crispy Nachos with their special salsa, which we also can’t get enough of…
Plus a plate of Chicken Quesadillas to top it off. Just like last time, we shared the dishes among ourselves (four of us) and we still ended up stuffed!
Their tall glasses of Red Iced Tea were a lot bigger than we remember, we ended up sharing them too!
We transferred to the veranda to make the most of the chilly night air. Of course we had to have cups of joe (Barako) or hot tea to add to our company as we discussed our plans for the holidays and life in general.
Some novelty items were also being sold at the venue – things like craft materials from Workshop Central, handmade accessories, and other gift-worthy knick-knacks
We ended up buying locally made matcha crinkles, cookies, and a whole peach mango pie. The pie, by Waistline Luxuries, tastes totally different from Jollibee’s pie of the same name. It’s a definite MUST TRY.
The year is almost over, and sometime’s we’re not sure if we’re relieved or more anxious about that. But getting together in venues like these is one way of stopping to smell the roses. When you’re simply chilling with friends and family over warm conversations and really good food, what more can you ask for? Here’s to a great December for everyone! 🙂
