We in the WTB wanted to celebrate Christmas with each other so when we found out about the 3-day Bonfire party that Cafe de Angelo was hosting in St. Patrick’s village, we knew right away that we had to be there.
We went there on its second day and we just dug everything about the whole place too much that we decided to go back on the third day! This time, we made sure we had a camera! Everything looked so magical that we knew we’d regret if we didn’t take photos.
Besides the bonfire, there were music, barbecue, and kiosks that sold kawaii stuff. Our Social Media Specialist bought a notebook with Le Petit Prince on its covers, while our Graphic Designer got himself a charming Baymax coin purse. Our Editor-in-Chief rewarded himself for just being happy with a black cat-head coin purse. We couldn’t stop spazzing over them.
Too bad it was starting to drizzle before the band even started playing music. At first, it was quite nice because it looked romantic. It still looked romantic even when (especially when) the band already started playing songs but we wanted to gather around the bonfire and chill but we couldn’t so that was a bummer. But other than that, everything still felt nice. At that moment, we swore we would trade anything just so we could have evenings like this every night.
This wasn’t the first time we tried eating out at Cafe de Angelo but this was the first time we tried dining at their branch in St. Patrick’s village and we must say, it is as dainty as the one in Marcos Highway.
Of course we had to eat. Here are what we went for.
Chicharon Pasta. (PHP200) I loved this one right here. Who knew chicharon tasted so good with pesto pasta? Cafe de Angelo made pesto pasta taste even better as if the plain one didn’t taste good already. The serving was huge and the bread was soft too so that’s plus points!
Bacon Bundle Sandwich. (PHP200) This was very gratifying, on the mouth and on the eyes! We could have this every morning.WeI don’t know about other people but when we think of bacon, the first thing that enters to our minds is getting satiated. That’s why we were surprised when we couldn’t get enough of this dish. The vegetables and fruits perfectly complimented the oiliness of the bacon that it left us wanting more.
Nachos with Salsa. (PHP100) This was perfect to balance out all the flavors from the dishes we had. Oh and the salsa was out of the world. The serving was huge too!
The first night we came here, we also ordered Cheese Quesadillas for PHP100. Too bad they ran out on the third day. It was one of the most budget-friendly dishes from their menu. One serving was good for two to three persons. Each piece was pretty stuffy, too! And the salsa was to die for! We highly recommend this for those who are conscious of their budget.
The night ended with the rain getting harder but the band still kept playing. We have said this but we have to say it again: The night was just magical. It was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas (I’m sure any other occasion too). We’re very glad we were present for two nights! Did you guys go there? How was your experience? Tell us about it!
