It’s arts and crafts galore for all ages at the first ever Baguio Craft Fair.
The event, held at Canto, Arellano Street from March 19-20, 2016, was spearheaded by the Knitting Expedition, which sells knitted goods by women from Ifugao. Don’t their hand-knit plush toys look totally adorable?
Many different artists participated in the event by conducting workshops on different art styles such as yarn work, weaving, coloring, painting, calligraphy, and paper cutting.
Anyone could join for an affordable workshop fee (inclusive of materials) as long as slots permitted.
There were also stalls from different art groups and crafters selling original works, handmade knick-knacks, and craft supplies, perfect for buying early birthday or Christmas presents. Support local products, each made with love.
Of course we had to get our own experience of learning something new. So we had the opportunity of learning how to make a dream catcher from Kathy of DMC.
Ms. Candy, the coordinator of the event said that the number of attendees had been really good, and that they would be excited to hold another Craft Fair again next year. Yes please!
