When we saw Dr Ann Bolos’ save-the-date video for her upcoming exhibit, La Vie En Rose, we knew this was something we couldn’t miss, even despite the unforeseen strong rain on the day of her gallery opening. And when we got there, it was worth-it. It always is.
Dr. Ann is a dentist from Dagupan. Not only that. She is also a single mother and a fitness enthusiast, and today she shows her artistic self. All in all, you can definitely call her a super woman.
So how does she find the time to create, despite her busy schedule? Dr. Ann says she gets inspired and works on her paintings the first thing in the morning. She is living proof that there is no excuse to doing something you love.
Dr. Ann had discovered her artistic side after high school. She said she considered taking up Fine Arts, but she ultimately decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps and took up Dentistry.
Despite that, she never lost her love for art, and after years of just keeping on doing what she loves, she got an invitation from Sir Fred Agunoy himself to hold her first exhibit at Fred’s gallery.
Most of Dr. Ann’s work follows an impressionistic art style. She gets inspiration for her paintings from her travels and from her family. She also tries to incorporate Chinese philosophy into her paintings.
Dr. Ann encourages everyone to keep following their dreams and keep doing what you love, at the same time, pursue a healthier lifestyle.
Come check out this super woman’s work at Fred’s Art Gallery in Greenwater Village. Her exhibit runs until June 5, 2016.
