If you love the thrill of heart-pumping, head-pounding horror movies, then you might want to level-up your experience and test your wits and stamina in LockedIn, the very first Escape Room Game in Baguio City.
An Escape Room game is like a live thriller that you play, where you and your friends are locked in a room and have to solve a series of mind boggling puzzles to be able to escape the room. Bear in mind that you have to beat the game within a time limit to escape.
LockedIn offers three escape rooms to choose from – The Psycho’s Lair, The Summer’s Nightmare, and The House on Misty Road, which is based on an urban legend in Baguio. These rooms are made for different sizes of groups of people, and are fairly different in terms of difficulty, theme, and scare-factor. And if you make it out in record time, you get to have your picture on their Wall of Fame!
Luckily (or unluckily) for us, we got to (try to) escape two rooms, The Summer’s Nightmare, and The House on Misty Road. Though we can’t divulge much about what goes on inside the room, we can definitely say that these rooms will give you a run for your money.
Talk about creeeepy~ While The House on the Misty Road will truly test your inner detective, The Summer’s Nightmare had us screaming for a whole hour. We definitely give props (no pun intended) to the staff for their commitment in giving the players a truly scary and realistic experience.
When we finished our games, part of us was glad that it was over, but also part of us definitely wanted to come back for more. We can say that the experience was better than watching a horror movie – because baby, we lived in one.
Escape Room games have only been around for ten years, and there are more than 3,000 of these world-wide. And we’re so glad that LockedIn has added itself to the roster for one more, fun and exciting activity to do in Baguio.
Book yourself a slot and visit them at Nevada Square to try and escape a room or two. Visit their Facebook page for more details!
