What do you think is the greatest love of all? To Baguio artists Fredi Agunoy, Salvador Cabrera, and Roland Bay-an, “The Greatest Love of All” is the love of a mother for her child, which is also the title of their latest exhibit at Fred’s Art Gallery.
At Fred’s Art Gallery, owner Fredi Agunoy offers his space for young and budding artists to showcase their work, but in between exhibit dates, he also likes to put his own work on display.
This time, he collaborated with Salvador Cabrera and Roland Bay-an, and they produced all the paintings in just a span of a week!
According to them, it all started with the question, “what is the greatest love of all?” And they all agreed with the answer – motherly love.
It’s amazing to see how three very unique artists all came together to produce one coherent show with all paintings seemingly having the same flowy art style, while still keeping each artist’s individuality in color choices and brush strokes.
They even collaborated on huge pieces with their own renditions of motherly love, side by side.
Along with the paintings, Fredi Agunoy also displayed his “junk” sculptures of motorcycles.
Each motorcycle is a unique model, with all the parts well-planned out. Who would have thought of using doorknobs as mufflers and sticking batman’s bust on the bike?
Fredi Agunoy said that the materials he used for these bikes are all from scrap parts he had hoarded in the past 35 years.
Check out this interesting juxtaposition of motorcycles and motherly love at Fred’s Art Gallery, Greenwater Village, but you’d better do it soon because the exhibit will only be running until July 5, 2016!
